About

Me

Mr. Gunter's class is a very exciting place where we learn, laugh, and grow together. Fourth grade is an important year for learning new things that will prepare each child not only for fifth grade, but for life. Because each child is important, we have four class rules: to follow directions the first time they are given; to complete all work; to keep hands, feet and all objects to self; and to not allow "put-downs."

Mr. Gunter has taught school for 26 years, 20 of them at Skyland.

(First day at Skyland in the MUD! 1998)

He lives in the Blue Ridge area. His daughter, Sarah and her husband live across the road in their tiny-home log cabin. His son, Ronnie lives in California where he is pursuing a movie career in script-writing.

Mr. Gunter is also "blessed" with many cats and assorted wild creatures in the woods behind his house. Raccoons, turtles, snakes, opossums, fox, and even an occasional deer have visited him there. Mr. G's hobbies are drawing, painting, reading, and woodworking. He also likes to mess around on his unicycle. Ronnie likes to write, play the guitar and banjo, and draw cartoons. Sarah enjoys playing the guitar, writing, reading, and playing with her cats.

Be sure to check out our exciting class website often. It is a way to get in touch with our school and me, Mr. G.

I will change information here periodically, so be sure to check back frequently!
