Ms. Ruthanne Coggins,

Music Specialist, Bryson Elementary

2020-2021      WE MADE IT!

This year has been a strange one for the history books.  We’ve made it!  Plus, in so many ways, it’s hard to believe that today has arrived.  I’m retiring.  Twenty two years ago, I came to the finest elementary school on the planet - Bryson Elementary.  I’ve worked with the finest educators from all across our district.  They’ve inspired me, encouraged me, and supported our music activities even when it messed up their schedules.  I can’t thank them enough for touching my life.  I am blessed to call them my friends.

Though I am retiring, I’m not totally leaving education.  Next year, I’ll be mentoring first year related arts teachers who are recent college graduates beginning their teaching careers.

What an honor it's been to serve our students and families.   I love meeting former students when they are all grown up, hearing about their livelihoods, cheering them on with life and sometimes meeting their children.  I’m going to miss everyone, but hope to see some of you around town.  Wishing you all great success in your future. #BrysonStrong

Keep the music alive!

Sing-cerely,

Ms. Ruthanne  Coggins
