About Mrs. Coggins
My name is Ruthanne Coggins. I grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland. After high school, my family moved to S.C. I graduated from Furman University with a B.A. in Elementary Education. I taught fourth grade for two years before heading to Fort Worth, Texas for graduate studies. I earned a Masters in Church Music from Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth and completed my music certification at Texas Christian University. I have two sons who were both born in Texas. In 1998, we moved back to S.C. to be closer to our families. Our sons are now grown , living in Nashville and pursuing their dreams as professional guitarists.
