About Coach

I'm Coach Calhoun. I was born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina. I attended Mars Hill University where I majored in Health & PE and played football. After graduating college, I moved to Atlanta Georgia where I taught high school PE and coached football, wrestling, golf, and track for fourteen years. In 2003, I relocated to South Carolina and taught at Dorman High School for five years. In 2008, I came to Greenville County where I taught at Hughes Academy. This is my 8th year teaching at Grove Elementary and I am still currently coaching football Eastside High school and Golf at JL Mann High School.

I have three children: Webb, Heath and Halle, and I reside in Greenville, SC.

My favorite college teams are Florida State and Clemson. My favorite pro team is the Oakland Raiders.
