Recorder Karate

Students, as you are practicing the Recorder Karate songs, make sure to only blow "feathers" and not "rocks." Make sure your gate is opening and closing slowly, producing the best possible sounds. Make sure that your finger pad is covering the holes completely and that your left hand is up top. If you are squeaking, check your fingers to make sure the holes are covered completely and check to make sure you aren't blowing rocks.

Make sure to practice making music and not noise on your instruments. Be principled, well-balanced and respectful to those around you.

The belts go as follows:

White Belt - Hot Cross Buns

Yellow Belt - Gently Sleep

Orange Belt - Merrily We Roll Along

Green Belt- It's Raining

Purple Belt - Old McDonald

Blue Belt - When the Saints Go Marching In

Red Belt - Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Brown Belt- Amazing Grace

Black Belt- Ode to Joy
