About Mrs. Nesbitt
Hi! Welcome to OUR classroom!
My name is Angel Nesbitt. I will be teaching Algebra 1 CP this year, and I am in the Freshman Academy. This is my fourth year at Southside HS, and I am glad to be apart of the Tiger Family.
I was born and raised in Greer, SC. I graduated from J.L. Mann HS. I attended Winthrop University where I was a Teaching Fellow and received a B.A. in Mathematics and a M.A.T. in Secondary Education. #GoEagles
When I am not here teaching, I coach my AAU team the Greer All-Stars Track Club with my parents. I also enjoy just hanging out with family/friends, watching my niece at her volleyball and track meets, exploring new television shows, and napping when I get a chance. Recently, I got married, got a house, and got a dog so all those things keep me busy in my "down time".
I LOVE math and helping students, so my goal is to help each student reach his/her potential. My goals this year are to establish growth mindsets for myself/students, get a higher % of students to pass the End of Course Exam, and help students accomplish a strong 9th grade year so they can be successful throughout high school to ultimately graduate. Overall, I want kids to succeed in my class and in life by getting them college and career ready. Please feel free to contact me; I'd love to hear from you!
