Plans for assessing, evaluating, and recording students’ progress:

Major assessments will generally occur at the end of each unit. Interactive science notebooks will also be a major component of their grade. A complete interactive science notebook will be essential for a successful year in 6th grade science. The notebooks will be graded as a minor grade at least once a quarter. It is the student’s responsibility to follow the correct note booking procedures and to complete each and every note book entry. Quizzes, labs, projects, class participation, homework, and in class work will also play a major role in the student’s overall grade. All assignments including homework will be posted on the board and website everyday.
