Welcome to Speech
Adequate comprehension, language, thinking, and communication skills are critical to success at school. The goal of speech therapy is to assist students in meeting their individual speech and language goals to effectively communicate in the classroom and beyond.
All students enrolled in the speech therapy program must meet criteria established by Greenville County Schools. Each student has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) that is developed by a team, including the student's parents/caregivers. These plans contain individualized goals based on the specific needs of the student. Students receive speech therapy in small groups during the school day.
