About Mrs. Lamb

Hi and welcome! My name is Mrs. Lamb, and I am ecstatic for this school year.

While I am currently out on Maternity Leave, I am still following along with the class. I look forward to getting back later this year to meet everyone!

My husband and I moved to the Greenville area a little over a year ago. We welcomed our first baby in July. His name is Huxley, and he has stolen our hearts to say the least! I grew up in Yorktown, Virginia, and attended James Madison University. I graduated with my Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies with a specialization in Math, Science, and Technology. I then went on to receive my Master of Arts in Teaching from JMU as well. This will be my fourth year teaching, and I know it is going to be a great one!

Though I began my career with my mind set on being an elementary school teacher, once I was in the classroom I knew my heart was set on teaching middle school mathematics. I have an undeniable love for education, and have known I was meant to be a teacher since I was a child. The students' imaginations are endless and their curiosities unlimited, and I love the experience of seeing their minds grow. It is my goal to get students to enjoy math, and understand how often it is used in day-to-day life and within every career. I want to challenge them to think outside the box to solve problems, find strategies and patterns that make sense to their individual minds, and increase their perseverance.

During my free time, I love spending time with family and friends, playing with my dogs, working out, yoga, watching baseball and football, and drinking coffee and kombucha.
