About Mrs. Laemmel

Hi 4th graders and parents!  This is going to be a wonderful and exciting year at Simpsonville Elementary.    I am looking forward to meeting my students and their parents.   Together, I know we can make this an awesome year.

I have always wanted to be a teacher.  I can remember when I was in the second grade that I wanted to be a teacher.  I was the child that would take all the leftover work home for the summer and play school.  I was blessed to have wonderful teachersI hope to be an inspiration to your child.

I am a graduate of Erskine College.  I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.  I have taught most of my teaching career in middle school in grades 6th and 7th at Mid-Carolina Middle in Newberry County, Beck Academy and Bryson Middle.  I have a middle level certification in language arts. I've also taught 5th grade as well as 4th.  This is my 22nd year teaching  and my 8th year at SES.

I am a Tiger fan in football (Go TIGERS!!) and a Tarheel in basketball (GO HEELS!!).  I came from a divided house.  What can I say?  In my opinion, I like the BEST in both sports.

I am married to a wonderful man named Bobby that I met at Erskine College 34 years ago.  I have 2 wonderful children named Bobby and Reagan.  Bobby is a senior at Mauldin High.  Reagan is a freshman at Mauldin High.   I also have a dog named Libby Gray.

I hope this is a good start in getting to know me better.  I can't wait to get to know you more.  My phone number is 864-355-8366.  My email is Tlaemmel@greenville.k12.sc.  Please feel free to shoot me a line when you have a question.  I will do my best to get back with you as soon as possible.
