Special Education Service Models At Fork Shoals

There are three Special Education models at Fork Shoals Elementary.  The first is the Resource PULL OUT model when the student is pulled out of class and receives direct instruction in a small setting by a Special Education teacher.  The second model is Resource Inclusion; the Special Education teacher is in the Regular Education classroom co-teaching with the General Education instructor to reteach concepts, works in whole and small groups, and 1:1 as needed in the classroom. The third model is the Self Contained class; this is when a student is in need of a modified curriculum with constant Specialized Instruction throughout the school day.
