Orchestra Supplies

All students will need:

• Instrument with a spare set of strings (just in case)

• folding music stand (to be kept at home for practicing)

• shoulder rest (for violin or viola) or rock stop (for cello or bass)

• rosin, cloth, paper, and a pencil

• 1/2-1 inch binder for orchestra music (Provided for you with orchestra fees)

• pencil pouch for binder (to hold accessories; provided for you with orchestra fees)

Beginning 6th graders will need:

• Essential Elements Book 1, 2 and Suzuki Book 1

Advanced 6th grade and Beginning 7th grade will need:

• Essential Elements Book 1 (brown), Suzuki Book 1, and CD and Essential Technique for Strings (EE Book 3 Green)

7th grade students will need:

• Essential Elements Book 2 and Essential Technique for Strings (EE Book 3 Green); Suzuki book 2 or higher (depending upon level of student)

8th grade students will need:

• Essential Technique for Strings (EE Book 3 Green) and Habits of a Successful String Musician (not the middle school version); Suzuki Book 3 or higher (depending upon level of student)
