Rules & Procedures

Classroom Rules:

"If you can DREAM it, you can do it."

  • Do your work

    • Students are expected to keep up with their work for class. They need to turn their work in on time and in the specified way. Students are expected to use their technology responsibly and do their OWN work.

  • Respect everyone

    • Students are expected to listen as others are talking - whether it is myself or another classmate. Students should stay in their seat while someone is talking, so they will not disrupt instruction/presentations. Bullying is absolutely NOT tolerated in our class. Students should follow accountable talk guidelines and GROUP rules when working together. We are a family!

  • Enter the room prepared and ready to work

    • Students are expected to put their phones in their designated slot on the back wall. Students should have all of their materials for class (and Chromebooks should be charged). When students walk in to the room, they need to read the agenda for the class, grab their materials, and sit down to get started on their Daily Question.

  • Accept challenges

    • Students are held to high expectations. ALL students are successful in their own way. Students should try an assignment/activity before deciding/saying they can't do something. Students should ask for help if they need it. Don't give up!

  • Make the most of class time

    • Students are expected to stay on task during class. They should let each other work and not distract their friends. Technology should not be used during class time unless it is posted it is allowed on the daily agenda. Phone use in class will result in a referral. No complaining about the work! Everything is designed to build stronger brains, critical and historical thinking skills, and deeper knowledge of our state history.

**I will follow administrative guidelines if disciplinary actions are needed**

Tardy Policy

Any student that is late to class will be required to have a note. If a student is not in their seat and ready to work when the classroom door closes, they are considered tardy.

Study Guides

Study guides will be posted a week prior to every test. It is the students' responsibility to print and complete the study guide prior to the test. These count as a quiz grade. Completed study guides are to be turned in on the day of the test! No late study guides accepted.

Weekly Quizzes

Students will take a brief quiz (almost) every Friday. These quizzes allow me to see what standards may need to be readdressed before our final unit test.
