Hello!  My name is Katie Maddox and I am so excited to be teaching your child this year!  This is my 8th year at Ellen Woodside and my 18th year in education. I am so excited to be teaching 4th grade!

I attended my first year of college at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.  I then transferred a little closer to home and finished my Bachelors of Science degree at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama in May 2003.  After graduating, I subbed in Greenville County at several different schools before being hired to teach 4th grade at Monaview Elementary.  I taught at Monaview for four years before returning to subbing.  I subbed for two years before deciding to go back to the classroom full-time.   I previously taught at Grove Elementary for 6 years.  I taught 5th grade for two years and 2nd grade for five years.

Did you know...?
