Meet Ms. Jacobs

Meet Ms. Jacobs.....

Welcome to our classroom! My name is Mrs. Jacobs, the lead teacher, and I am joined by the classroom para-professional, Mrs. Whims. Our classroom is designed for students seeking an occupational degree which will prepare them to enter the workforce for on-the-job training immediately following graduation. Academics are taught with an emphasis on how these subjects relate to careers and everyday life skills.

I was born in Pittsburgh, but have lived in the South for 39 years, so I proudly consider myself to be “Southern”, though I am missing an accent!! I have two grown children that are DEFINITELY southern, and wouldn’t have it any other way! In my spare time (which isn’t much), I enjoy reading, exercising, and cooking.

I received my undergraduate degree in psychology, my masters +30 additional hours in special education, and I have many years of district professional development training. This is my 20th year serving Greenville County as a special education teacher. I just LOVE teaching at Eastside, and my son attended Eastside, so I am familiar with the school culture and am THRILLED to be an Eastside EAGLE! I look forward to working with your child to help him/her reach his/her full potential!

I can be reached via phone during the day at 355-2516 if you need immediate assistance for classroom issues. Otherwise, the best way to reach me is via email at sdjacobs@greenville.k12.sc.us. The front office and the school website are valuable resources for general school information.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Jacobs
