 My name is Irina Johnson, and I’m super excited to teach English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) this year at Wade Hampton High School.

  I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching English and a Masters Degree in Linguistics. I have been teaching English to Multilingual Learners in different places, including Russia and the United States.

  I moved to the US in 2008. For the last twelve years my husband, our children, and I have lived in Greenville and absolutely love it. In my free time I enjoy game nights, hiking and reading.

  My main goals in teaching Multilingual Learners are to build trust in my students so they can gain confidence in themselves and the language, and to patiently guide them to help to achieve academic and personal goals.

  I believe it’s going to be a Great School Year!
