Meet the Teachers

I am looking forward to starting my second year at Mauldin Elementary. My family and I relocated to Greenville from North Augusta, where I was a Reading Interventionist for six years implementing Reading Recovery and Reading intervention for Kindergarten through Third grade. I have had the privilege to be teaching for twenty five years. I have taught Kindergarten for eleven years, First grade for six years, and second and third grades one year each. I am so excited to begin another school year! Teaching is definitely my passion and I could not imagine myself doing any other job.

This summer our family had many celebrations. My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary. Our oldest daughter got married and is beginning her second year as a teacher at Overbrook Child Development center. Our youngest daughter is a Senior at Meredith College in Raleigh NC. We have three dogs an American Bull dog named Rufus a Boxer named Reya and an American Bull dog puppy named Ronin.

We are enjoying exploring our new Hometown of Greenville. I enjoy reading, swimming, and spending time with my family. I love to go home to Daytona Beach and visit family and going to the mountains!

All About Mrs. Thomas

This is my seventeenth year as a kindergarten assistant and I find this job to be very rewarding. I have been married to Ron Thomas for 32 years and I have a daughter named Amber and a son named Austin. Amber is a physical therapist in Atlanta, GA. Austin is a recent graduate of USC in hopes of joining the Peace Corps. When I am not at school, I spend most of my time taking care of my spoiled dogs and cats and my grandboxer. I also enjoy reading, hiking and visiting the beach in Destin, FL.
