Riverside High School Professional Development Plan 2020-2021
Student-centered educational experiences and student achievement remain at the center of every professional development opportunity provided for the RHS faculty.
RHS New Faculty will meet monthly during the first semester and bi-monthly during 2nd semester for support and collaboration.
Virtual or Roundtable PD will occur on a bi-monthly basis
Curricular Collaborations (PLCs) will occur within departments twice monthly.
Mastery Connect/TE 21 will be a focus of PLC professional development, particularly for EOC teachers.
Conference Period PLCs will meet during the first Thursday of each month
WIN Team members will provide instruction, modeling, and support for RHS faculty through classroom demonstrations, collaborations with department PLCs, and Technology Tuesday Sessions
Tech in 20 Extensions sessions will be held the last Thursday of each month during 7th period and after school
Digital PD sessions (PD in PJ’s) will be available on the first Friday and due on the last Friday from September through November, and January through April, covering current and pertinent educational topics that are not technology related.
