About Me

Personal History

My childhood home is about ten minutes away from Riverside High School, in downtown Greer, South Carolina. I met my husband at Greer High School, and we have been married for thirty-six years. We have two grown children, Julia and Matt, who are both Riverside High School graduates. Our family holds ten post-secondary degrees at present.

My undergraduate degree in Mathematics Education is from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and my masters degree in Educational Administration is from the University of South Carolina. I was awarded the Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of South Carolina in May 2015.

My teaching career began in January, 1983. I taught middle school mathematics for thirteen years in Spartanburg, Richland, and Greenville Counties, then I taught math at Riverside High School for twenty years, and I am now in my fift year as the Instructional Coach. Serving as the Instructional Coach has been an exciting transition for me because I love this school and the faculty, and I thoroughly enjoy supporting the people and the programs here.
