Ms. Nation's First Graders

I am going to enjoy watching our groovy of 1st Graders learn and grow this year.

Here are some things you can work on at home to help your child grow.

Making sure they know their letters and sounds.

Reviewing and reading Kindergarten popcorn words.

Counting to 100.

Counting by 5's and 10's.

Addition and subtraction to the sum of 20.

Writing a sentence beginning with a capital letter and ending with a period.

Practicing our 1st grade word wall words as we begin to introduce them.

Read each night for 10-20 minutes. This will help build confidence, stamina, and fluency!
