Welcome! My name is David Bates and this is my first year as a resource teacher at Beck Academy. Last year, I was the Full-Time Substitute Teacher at Greenville Middle Academy. Before starting my employment with the Greenville County School District, I taught ESOL for 17 years in Asia (2 years in Seoul, South Korea and 15 years in Hong Kong). I earned my B.A. in History from Wofford College and my Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) in Primary-English from The Education University of Hong Kong.
Throughout the course of each school day, I will be co-teaching ELA with Mrs. Randolph and Ms Franklin as well as co-teaching Math with Mr. Bond and Ms Rodgers. Please click the name of each teacher below to access his/her website and view the course syllabus and assignments.*
