National Industry Certifications
The National Restaurant Association has an Education Foundation. They have developed a program called ProStart and students can earn this National Certification. There are numerous post-secondary institutions that have established articulation agreements for students earning this certification. there are also many scholarships that can be earned once a student has earned this.

students are required to take and pass the training called Foodhandler, https://www.servsafe.com/ServSafe-Food-Handler/The-ServSafe%C2%AE-Food-Safety-Advantage. through the National Restaurant Assocation.
