About the Instructor

Chef Holly Bell moved here to Greenville SC in 2014 to start the Culinary Arts Management program at Enoree Career Center.

Holly Bell was born Holly Brozi and raised in a suburb outside of Pittsburgh, PA. She began cooking very young, and at the age of 14 she started working at a commercial bakery and has worked in food service ever since. In high school she attended half of the day at A.W. Beattie Technical School in their Culinary Arts Program. Here she earned numerous awards and scholarships that allowed her to attend the prestigious Johnson & Wales University Culinary College in Providence, RI. Graduating with highest honors from her Culinary Arts degree as summa cum laude status. Moving to Charleston, SC to continue her education at Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management, again attaining Summa Cum Laude status. She has worked at private dining clubs, in management for Olive Garden, in resorts on Nantucket Island and Key West, as a personal chef, and many great restaurants in between.

Chef Bell has been teaching culinary arts for over 20 years. She has taught adult education, high school, and college levels. From 2001-2014 she started, developed and ran the Culinary Arts Program at Key West H.S. In the 2002-2003 school year she was chosen as the Inclusion Teacher of the Year and in 2004-2005 school year she was awarded the Teacher of the Year at Key West H.S.. In 2014 earning the NRAEF Certification as a Certified Secondary Foodservice Educator in 2014 cements her dedication to students and the industry. She has been awarded the Upstate South Carolina Restaurant Association Educator of the Year for 2017 and voted the Enoree Career Center's 2018-2019 Teacher of the Year by her peers.

In 2020 she was announced the SCRLA Educator of the Year for the state of South Carolina. This National Recognition is one of her proudest career moments, Second only to the daily work she does with her students.
