Services Offered

Some of the services provided by the school counselors include: 

1. Groups for children who are facing similar situations that impact their school success

2. Individual sessions to help children deal with issues of conflict or change at home and school

3. Classroom guidance lessons to help children learn how to get along with others and demonstrate good character

4. Workshops for parents to learn ways to communicate effectively with their children

5. Consultation for parents to learn about assistance and services available in the community

6. A library full of resources for parents touching on a variety of topics. Please call to speak with a counselor to inquire about the resources we have available.

All services offered by the school counselors are within the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) Standards. These standards guide counselors to help students by identifying and prioritizing the specific attitudes, knowledge, and skills that students should be able to demonstrate as a result of participating in a comprehensive school counseling program.
