The Slater-Marietta Elementary School Green Wave Chorus



*These are guidelines and programs that may or may not be scheduled during the 2023-2024 school year. Official dates will be available as soon as they are determined at the beginning of the school year.


Chorus is scheduled Tuesday  after school from 2:30-4:00 PM.

The SMES Green Wave Chorus is made up of 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade students.

The students that are in 5th Grade and are Safety Patrols report to the Music Room at the end of their duty shifts.

Parents provide transportation for pick-ups, located on the Slater Road side of the school building, around the bus loop. 

Chorus rehearsal dates/performances calendar will be sent home with each Chorus member and posted on my website.


Chorus Practice Dates for Tuesdays: August - December 2023:

August - 15th, 22nd, 29th

September - 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th

October - 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th

November - 7th, 14th

December - 5th, 12th


Performances/Performance Venues for the SMES Green Wave Chorus

The following performances will be governed by The CDC, SC DHEC, and Greenville County Schools District policies and protocols during 

the 2023-2024 school year. Our students health and well-being are of utmost importance.

Families of Chorus students will be notified of dates as soon as they are received.

E.  Slater-Marietta Holiday Parade

F.  River Falls Rehabilitation Center/Tree Lighting Ceremony - Marietta, SC* not if high-risk facility

Attire for Most Performances:

Veterans  Day Program:

Christmas Parade:

Green Santa Hats

Red Sweat Shirt or Red Sweater

Blue Jeans

Coat/Gloves/Raincoat if weather is cold/rainy

Expectations:

Come into Music Room quietly, take a seat

Use correct sitting/standing posture

Hold Music Book/Folder correctly

Listen/follow the directions of the conductor

Try your best at each rehearsal

Learn/Memorize your selections, as the performances will be without hard copies
