Katie pic.docxThis will be my 23rd year teaching and my fifth year in kindergarten. I previously taught 5th grade and spent sixteen years teaching 3rd grade. I am so excited to be in kindergarten!
I was raised in Columbia, South Carolina and I love my USC Gamecocks! I earned my degree in Elementary Education from the College of Charleston and my Master's Degree in Early Childhood from Furman University. I have been living in Greenville for over 22 years, buy my heart still lives at the coast.
My husband and I have two children, Gabi (11) and Lukas (7). My daughter will be in 6th grade, at Langston Charter Middle School, and my son is going into 2nd grade here at Bethel! In my free time I love to craft, read, and watch the SEC play. I am currently trying to learn Portuguese because my husband is from Brazil. Once I understand enough of the language, I cannot wait to spend my summers in South America.
Hi, My name is Katie Brayton and I’m excited to be working in Kindergarten this year. I have worked as a Preschool teacher and also as an aide in Special Education. My husband’s name is Neal and we have been married for 21 years. I have three children, Isaiah(16), Logan (11) and Harper (8). My daughter goes to Bethel, my son Logan goes to Langston Charter Middle School, and my oldest goes to Brashier Middle College. I grew up in Colorado and moved to South Carolina over 20 years ago. I am looking forward to watching your child learn and grow this year!
