Hi! My name is Ashley Howard, and I am so excited to have your child in my second grade class! I have a degree in Elementary Education from Clemson University and a Gifted and Talented endorsement from Converse College. This will be my 18th year teaching school. My teaching experience includes grades 1, 2, and 3. Second grade is my favorite, and I feel extremely lucky to know, from my teaching experience, where the students will be coming from and where they will need to be when beginning third grade.

I have one of the most supportive husbands in the world. We met at Clemson and have been married for twenty-four years. We have two children. Our daughter is a freshman in college and our son is a sophomore in high school. When away from school, I love spending time with my family and friends, volunteering and participating in activities at church, traveling, walking, reading, and shopping.  

I’m looking forward to getting to know you all and beginning a fantastic year together. Learning is fun, and I can’t wait to share my love of learning with my students!

My mission is to teach students in a fair, structured, and positive environment using a variety of teaching approaches in order to help build knowledge, confidence, problem solving skills, and success for the future.
