IWK CENTRAL REFERRAL PROCESS

Getting Help at the IWK Mental Health and Addictions

Central Referral:(902) 464-4110

When a child or teen has a mental health or additions problem, the IWK can help. They will work with your family to provide the best care and treatment possible.

How it works:

Step 1: Call the IWK Central Referral at (902) 464-4110 and press 1 to book an appointment.

Step 2: Staff will collect information (approx. 15-20 minutes)and give you a CHOICE appointment.

Step 3: At your CHOICE appointment a IWK clinician will:

  • Talk about your child or family's mental heath or addiction.

  • Learn about available services and treatment options.

  • Work collaboratively with your child and family to assess what treatment options best suit your family needs.
