Getting Help at the IWK Mental Health and Addictions

When a child or teen has a mental health or additions problem, the IWK can help. They will work with your family to provide the best care and treatment possible.
How it works:
Step 1: Call the IWK Central Referral at (902) 464-4110 and press 1 to book an appointment.
Step 2: Staff will collect information (approx. 15-20 minutes)and give you a CHOICE appointment.
Step 3: At your CHOICE appointment a IWK clinician will:
Talk about your child or family's mental heath or addiction.
Learn about available services and treatment options.
Work collaboratively with your child and family to assess what treatment options best suit your family needs.
