Grading policy

Homework Policy

• The ELA homework, and Reading Log will be given out on Monday each week, and will be paced by day (1 page per day, front and back). Math will be assigned daily and there may be additional homework assigned during the week for other subjects. 

• Please have your student come to school prepared with their homework and homework folder every day as this will be checked for points daily.  There is no homework on Fridays. The homework is designed to provide students with practice for that day's lessons. Late homework (and absent work) will earn half credit after 3 days.

Grading Policy

• Grades will be viewable through Aeries. If you do not have access to Aeries, please see the front desk for assistance. Grades will be updated on a weekly basis, usually by Friday afternoon (Tests - grades available the following week).

Grade breakdown:

Classwork/Participation - 40%

Tests/Quizzes - 30% 

Projects - 20%

Homework 10%

Math:

Class work | 5 points per day

Quiz | 20 points

Topic Chapter test | points vary

English Language Arts:

Class work | 5 points per day

Weekly Spelling test | 15 points

Unit Test | 30 - 40 points

Social Studies / Science (Glad Units):

Point values will vary depending on the unit structure; Items that your student will be graded on may include some or all of the following
