The Project-Based Learning (PBL) course provides students with structured opportunities to develop competencies of the scientific method, problem-solving development, product presentation, self-management, and teamwork.


Students will expand their opportunities through a combination of synchronous training and asynchronous preparation for various competitions. They will also acquire a range of skills, strategies, and knowledge that will be used in a variety of simulated academic scenarios, including presentations and discussions.


Throughout the course, students will explore issues of contemporary relevance to both local and international communities. Students will be encouraged to explore relevant issues from their area of interest or suitable research competitions. Throughout the course, students will reflect on their learning and use their reflections to guide their actions, creating the autonomy necessary for further admission to the university.

Course Aims:

  • Develop the skill of a scientific approach when considering various research problems

  • Develop students’ speaking skills required for successful participation in a range of academic contexts

  • Develop teamwork skills when creating projects

  • Develop critical thinking skills when working with literature sources and creating products for presentation

Course Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

LO1 Creates projects in the form of the following products: animation, presentations, videos, posters.

LO2 Critically analyze and evaluate arguments and the evidence used to support those arguments

LO3 Construct informative presentations and persuasive arguments on topics of disciplinary and societal relevance using evidence and visual aids

LO4 Participate confidently in a range of authentic academic scenarios, including discussions, conferences, and interviews

LO5 Employ the features of clear academic spoken discourse effectively and flexibly with due consideration of audience, purpose, and context

LO6 Work effectively on pair and group projects within and cross-disciplinary fields

LO7 Demonstrate the characteristics of an independent and reflective learner by identifying and using appropriate resources to develop language, content knowledge, and digital capabilities

LO8 Produce and respond to targeted self and peer critique to develop the capacity for making evaluative judgments
