Mrs. Sarro

About Mrs. Sarro

Mrs. Sarro began teaching music in East Penn in 2006 immediately after graduating with her undergraduate degree. Before making the switch to elementary instrumental music, she taught general music for two years at Lower Macungie Middle School.

Mrs. Sarro began her music studies in second grade playing the piano. Though she still plays, she started the saxophone in fifth grade and (only briefly) ever looked back. Despite wanting to discontinue playing through much of sixth grade, she continued on and quickly discovered that band was her true passion! She credits her parents' unwavering support for her ability to be successful during that challenging time. Throughout middle and high school Mrs. S continued participation in concert band, marching band, jazz band, and colorguard, and eventually decided that music education was what she wanted to study in college. Mrs. Sarro earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Moravian College (GO HOUNDS!) in 2006, then continued her studies to earn a Master of Music in Music Education from Lebanon Valley College (GO DUTCHMEN!) in 2014.

In addition to music, Mrs. Sarro enjoys a variety of other hobbies and activities. She enjoys exercising regularly, cooking, gardening, reading, crocheting, and playing video and board games. She lives in Bethlehem with her husband, daughter, Shepherd/Saluki mix dog, and cranky old cat.

She is looking forward to another outstanding year, and feels fortunate to be in a district that values music education as East Penn does. Please always feel free to be in touch with any questions or concerns!
