Tri-Valley Regional Occupational Program (ROP)

Tri-Valley ROP Courses - Course Video Overview & Information

What is ROP?

The Tri-Valley Regional Occupational Program (ROP) provides hands-on career exploration and training to high school students throughout the Tri-Valley. Courses are held on high school campuses in the Dublin, Livermore, and Pleasanton unified school districts.

What are the benefits of taking a ROP Course?

  • Experience is the best teacher. ROP can help you get the experience you need to get a job of your choice and will help you update your existing skills or train in a new field. ROP prepares students to obtain jobs to support the ever-increasing costs of college and promotes further advanced education in particular career areas.

  • Successful completion of a ROP class counts toward your elective credits required for graduation. The number of credits earned varies depending on the class.

  • Students can earn FREE college credits if they receive a B or better upon completion of the ROP classes that have Articulation Agreements with our local community colleges.

For more information visit the ROP website at Tri-Valley ROP: TVROP

How Do You Enroll in ROP Classes?

  • ROP classes are offered to DHS freshman (only Intro to Health Careers), sophomores, juniors and seniors. You may enroll in ROP classes during the annual registration period for DHS.

  • When registering for ROP classes, please note those classes which are located on campuses other than DHS as you will be responsible for reliable transportation and a timely arrival.

  • The DHS College & Career Specialist and your guidance counselor are available to answer your questions about all ROP classes.
