September 13th-Read your Independent Reading book. Pick two journal questions and answer them in your journal.
September 14th- Complete 2 more Tic-Tac-Toe Squares (three in a row) to be checked tomorrow.
September 15- Study for a vocabulary quiz. Outsider Project due October 21st. See Project and rubric. Have your parents sign the rubric on the back.

September 19 & 20 MAP Testing. No Homework.
September 21th- Research the lives of Elvis Presley and The Beatles. Give a brief description of the music and lives of each. Choose two songs. Compare and contrast them on a Venn diagram. In 3 sentences or more, tell which group you think represents the Socials and which one represents the Beatles and why.
September 22- Prepare to present your final character poster. Make sure you have 16 distinct quotes (4 from each student on looks, sounds, acts, and what others say. Work on Chapter 4 Presentations tomorrow.
Finish defining Word Wall Words and do a Tic-Tac-Toe exercise. Finish Outsiders. Project due on October 21st.
Study for Word Wall Vocabulary quiz tomorrow September 29th.
Answer 5 Socratic Seminar questions. Use textual evidence. Complete 3 Compass Learning quizzes by Friday. October 10-14. Interim on October 18th.
