SCHOOL SPANISH SYLLABUS

In this class you will learn basic communication skills in Spanish. Learning a language is a difficult task that requires many hours of practice. Student will benefit from continuous exposure to the language. I recommend your child to watch movies, television, and listen to music in Spanish. By the end of the course the students will be able to listen, understand and participate in simple conversations.

  • Notebook 9'' X 11''

  • Paper, pens, color pencils a highlighter

  • Headphones with a microphone

  • Positive Attitude

Within the World Language Essential Standards, Communication has been delineated into the three modes of Communication and, with Culture, comprise the four Essential Standards for World Languages.

· Interpersonal Communication : Person-to-Person Communication. Use the language to engage in interpersonal communication.

· Interpretive Communication: Listening and Reading. Understand words and concepts presented in the language.

· Presentational Communication: Speaking and Writing. Use the language to present information to an audience.

· Culture. Compare the students’ culture and the target culture.
