You are in for an exciting year of learning and growth. The objectives of this course are to begin your journey in acquiring Spanish language skills and learn about the Hispanic culture. Spanish is the fourth most spoken language in the world and represents the fastest growing foreign language in the United States. As such, a familiarity with, if not mastery of, Spanish will permit students to be more competitive members of the increasingly integrated global economy of the twenty-first century.
