Grade 8: Mrs. Jalbert
Google Classroom Code- 3qwbmq5
My name is Mrs. Jalbert and this will be my eighth year as a School Counselor and my sixth year at Whisconier! Prior to coming to Brookfield I was a high school counselor at Stafford High School and an elementary school counselor in Ansonia. I received my Bachelors Degree from Western Connecticut State University in 2013. I then went on to complete my Masters Degree in 2016 for Counselor Education specializing in School Counseling from Central Connecticut State University. I completed my internship at Cheshire High School where my interest in Mindfulness in education sparked.
I love helping kids! My passion is leading students towards success in three domains: Academic, Career, & Personal/Social. I also enjoy being a part of positive systemic change which fosters innovative learning and meets the needs of the whole child. I am a member of the Connecticut School Counselor Association.
When I am not at school I love to go to the lake in the summer and ski in the winter with my husband, 2 year old daughter Mackenzie and 4 month old daughter Lyla.
Grade 7: Ms. Trotta
Hi, my name is Ms. Trotta and this is my fourth year at Whisconier! I am very excited to see my 7th grade students and their families again this year. I am here to help students have a productive and positive school year full of academic, career and social/emotional support. I am here for all students! When I am not in school, I am practicing self care by running/exercising and hanging out with my dog. My door is always open so come and see me any time (even if it is to say hi).
Grade 6: Mrs. FitzPatrick
My name is Mrs. FitzPatrick (commonly called Mrs. Fitz) and I have been at Whisconier Middle School for 20 years. I have loved working with students and families year after year!
When I am not at school, I am home with all my boys...my husband, and sons Liam (age 13), Ryan (age 11) and Matthew (age 7). We love being outdoors, family game nights and playing/watching sports.
Middle school can be difficult years. Please do not hesitate to reach out for academic, emotional and/or social support anytime.
