Transducer sensor test rig used to help with quality control tests of the transducer sensors. Aligns a pair of transducers against a sample of choice in order to verify the quality of data recorded. The main design choice added to this test rig is the latching bearing block (second image) that speeds up the swapping process of transducers, reducing quality control sessions significantly (46%). This is measured in comparison to the previous model, which secured the bearings via screws from beneath the base plate. Each item is datumed to the the same axis, reducing the error of misalignment and potential data loss. All parts were designed in SolidWorks, utilizing parts, assemblies, and drawings to achieve a precise manufactured test rig.

The temperature sensor mount was designed to fit on existing holes on the top plate such that the temperature sensor would be in close proximity to the samples that are being measured. In order to do that, I designed a non-intrusive mount that would make use of a cord grip in order to secure the sensor. The object was sliced and managed in Cura so that it can be 3D printed well with high strength.Â
