Goal Setting

Any time is the right time to set goals!  I strongly encourage both children and families to ponder not only some attainable goals but also having a solid method of achieving these goals.  For instance, this quotation by William Rothschild sums it up wonderfully:

What do you want to achieve or avoid?  The answers to this question are objectives.  How will you go about achieving your desired results?  The answer to this you can call strategy.

It's also vital to have both long and short-term goals.  I often speak with the students about this.  I encourage them to reflect upon their future dreams as well as the steps that they can and will take in order to make their dreams a reality.
