About Your Teacher

Hi, my name is Katherine Richard. This will be my 10th year of teaching at Visitation. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (Grades 1-8) and in Early Childhood Education (Birth- 3rd Grade).  I am a certified teacher for grades PreK -8th. I began my teaching career in the Jefferson Parish Public School System teaching Pre-K4 and 1st grade. I returned to my second home teaching at Visitation in 2014. I have 2 children, both of which graduated from Visitation and are now attending area Catholic high schools. Both my husband and I attended Visitation for elementary school. I'm excited to be moving to Kindergarten this school year. I have been working hard on developing some engaging lessons, and I am very excited to implement some new ideas. I love teaching! I am blessed to have Mrs. Lisa Bourgeois as my assistant again this year. This is our 8th year working together. We are both so excited about this year.  We can't wait to meet all of our new students!
