This course covers fundamentals of design of pipesystems and hydromachinery. Starts with a general description of real flow and the description of shear stress and velocity profiles. Basic Hydraulics has four main parts: Real Flow, Uniform flow, Hydromachinery and Pipeline Systems. The course has a perspective of the applications f new technologies as numerical methods, computer and calculator applications. This course presents an introduction to applications in calculators and shows an introduction to computer modeling and design of preasure hydrosystems. It includes some laboratory practices for understanding friction energy loss, local and minor losses, pumps and turbines. This is a core requirement for Civil and Agricultural Engineering Programs.
