Video Demonstrations

Click the links below for a video demonstrations on some of the activities we do in our P.E. classes.

*Scarf Juggle: 2 scarfs throwing in the throw, throw, catch, catch pattern is a great lead up activity for learning how to juggle. K-1-2 graders throw 2 scarfs. You can start with either hand throwing in a up and cross body motion. Each hand has to throw a scarf and catch a scarf. The scarfs should switch hands after each TTCC pattern. (T-throw, C-catch) If you throw with your right hand first the pattern will be: RT, LT, LC, RC. If you start with your left hand first the pattern will be: LT, RT, RC, LC. Click on the video below to see 1st Grader, Cael Witt demonstrate his throw, throw, catch, catch pattern. :)

*Underhand pass with a balloon: K-1-2 students learn the correct way to underhand pass a volleyball by using a balloon because they travel in the air slower than a volleyball does. This allows the students to have more time to get in the correct position. We are looking for nice, flat, pancake hands; nice straight arms; and that they let the balloon come down to them and use their legs to move their arms, not swing their arms up in the air. Click on the link below to watch 1st grader Rebecca Masker demonstrate her balloon underhand pass.

*Chinese Jump Rope: Students will jump the pattern, side-out (jump all the way over), straddle (feet apart on the outside of the ropes), In (both feet in the middle), Out (back to where you started).

Do as many patterns as you can without making a mistake. 2nd Grader Meya Wingert will demonstrate in the video below.
