Organizational Patterns of Agile Software Development

Welcome to the OrgPatterns instance of ThoughtsWeaver

ThoughtsWeaver is a composition system; it's a news server; it's a repository; it's a mail system. Really, we don't know quite what it is, but it's a fun way of communicating asynchronously across the network.

This ThoughtsWeaver site is the official repository for the editorial effort to build a CommonPatternLanguage of OrganizationalPatterns that will be published in a forthcoming Prentice-Hall book. Two friends are collaborating as editors on the work: JimCoplien and NeilHarrison. The book will be welcoming contributions from other pattern authors including WardCunningham and AlistairCockburn. The site is administered by JimCoplien, JOCoplien_at_cs.com. The site is graciously and generously provided by Universitaet Karlsruhe (thanks, guys!). Watch the pattern language grow and refine here; watch the discussions that surround the process. Sign in as one of our RecentVisitors and find your way around.

The main starting points for the book effort are:

but there are other good StartingPoints for general information on organizational patterns as well.

The CommonPatternLanguage page has a vision statement of sorts.
