The wooden pieces I use to create my designs are randomly cut. I cut scrap pieces of wood into random shapes and individually sand each piece. Then, I create mosaic-style designs from whatever shapes I have ready. I usually work in batches of 300 or more pieces of wood at a time.

No two creations will ever be the same because of this. Each design is a unique, hand-crafted piece of art.

All the wooden pieces are finished with two coats of acrylic paint, or stained. The pieces are glued into the design. The artwork is protected with clear coat, acrylic Plexiglas*, or tempered glass.

*The acrylic is not heat-resistant. It can be used as a coaster, but it could melt if used as a trivet. Excessive heat could melt the plastic.
