All the wooden pieces are randomly cut first, before the design is created. This means that every design is unique. I can make designs that look similar to each other, but the pieces that create them will all be different.
I love a challenge! And, I love trying new ideas. It's fun!
Each piece of art is usually either clear-coated or covered with tempered glass or acrylic Plexiglas. The acrylic Plexiglas is not heat-proof. It will melt if something too hot (like a hot casserole dish) is placed on it.
The artwork is not meant for outdoor use. Unfortunately, the glue and paints used are water soluble. (There are ways to weatherproof wooden items, but I leave that up to the customer.)
All measurements listed are approximate. Prices are not necessarily based on the artwork's size. Prices really depend on the amount of time and the materials involved in creating the piece.
These medallions are attached to most artwork made from 2020 on.
None of the artwork is meant to be used as a toy. They are not puzzles. All the wooden pieces are glued into the designs.
Payment can be made in the form of cash, personal check, Venmo, or credit card (through Square). A processing fee of 3% may be added to credit card purchases.
Almost every piece of artwork (except the furniture pieces) has hanging hardware attached. Some pieces have a hole drilled into their back instead, so they can be hung on a nail or screw.
Two coats of paint are applied to all painted surfaces. I have over 400 colors available in my studio. Stains can be applied instead, if you choose.
I love to upcycle! Old tables or cabinets with great "bones" can become one-of-a-kind works of art. I am constantly on the lookout for small-scale furniture pieces that I can refinish.
All the woodworking and artistry is done by me, Bonnie L. Anderson. And, the artwork is signed and dated.
