Team Expectations

WHAT DOES OUR TEAM EXPECT FOR .... ???

HOMEWORK

Homework is generally given Monday through Thursday and occasionally on Fridays. All homework is graded. Some assignments will be checked for completion, while others are graded for accuracy. In order to have students try their best on all assignments, they will not know how the assignments are going to be counted until they are corrected. Students are expected to have the assignments completed on time. LATE WORK WILL BE PENALIZED.

Homework is posted daily on the Adventurer's Homepage. This is 1 way to check that your child has written down his/her homework assignments correctly. Please note: this in no way takes the place of your child’s responsibility of completely and neatly writing down daily homework on his/her sticky-note on their Chromebook. This should be used merely as a check-in when needed.

ABSENCES

Completion of make-up work is the responsibility of the student. If your child is absent 1-2 days, s/he should follow the procedures set up by the individual team teachers for retrieving missed work. If your child is absent 3 or more days, you should contact the school nurse, Mrs. Sandi Capodice, at 793-3257. She will notify the team teachers of the extended absence, and in this way, the teachers can gather work for your child. The work can be picked up the following day after 2:40 p.m. in the main office. Students are expected to make up work in a timely fashion, however, the general guideline is ... for each day out ... this is how many days your child has to make up the work s/he has missed.

SUPPLIES

All students are required to bring their books and a silent reading book to class everyday unless told not to by the teacher. Required supplies are also a part of being prepared. Students are expected to have their supplies throughout the entire school year. If a student does not have them, they will receive a consequence.
