Meet the Teachers

WHO ARE THE ADVENTURERS TEACHERS?

Stephanie Turbett, Social Studies, Team Leader

Mrs. Turbett has been teaching at the Middle School of Plainville for 25 years. She resides in Wallingford with her husband, Dan; their 20 year old son, Declan; 17 year old daughter, Roisin; and 15 year old son, Desmond. She has 2 dogs, Bentley and Ginger. There are also 2 cats in her home: Cleopatra and Calypso.   In her spare time, Mrs. Turbett enjoys running and cheering on her children at their soccer games.  She also spends football season rooting on the Giants!!!

Emily Kyle, Reading & Language Arts             

Mrs. Kyle has been teaching in Plainville for 17 years! She was previously a teacher at Wheeler and spent the majority of her time there in 5th grade. This is her 4th  year at MSP! When she's not at school, you can usually find her at home with her husband, Justin, who is a nurse, their 6-year-old son, Garrett and their daughters, 8-year-old Brenna & 2-year-old, Taryn. They have one cat, a large, loud, orange furball named Hobbes. Mrs. Kyle also spends her free time cooking, baking, reading, hiking, gardening, camping (all over the USA!), and getting together with friends and family as much as possible. She has an undergraduate degree from CCSU and a Master's Degree from the University of New Haven.  Visit her website here!

Christina Corvello, Science 

Mrs. Corvello has been teaching at the Middle School of Plainville for 15 years.  She lives in Plainville with her husband Michael, who is also a teacher, and their daughter Sofia.  In their free time, they enjoy going to the beach, reading, woodworking, and gardening.  They have three pets: Valentine, a Belgian Malinois,  Arya, a cat, and Diaz, a leopard gecko!  She earned her undergraduate degree from UCONN, got her teaching certificate from the ARC program, and earned her Master's Degree from the University of Saint Joseph. She loves teaching and getting students enthusiastic about science.
