High School [9-12]
Student-Driven personalized learning ~ Online Competency-based learning ~ Adaptive Learning ~ Community School ~ Tuition-free
The Naches Valley High School Alternative Program opened in the fall of 2005 as an option for High School students of the Naches Valley School District. In 2013 we created the Naches Valley Virtual Academy. High School students are recommended for the Naches Valley Virtual Academy based solely on credit deficiency towards graduation. All students enrolled in the High School Virtual Academy are provided with a variety of options that will lead to graduation and are supported by services for the student and their immediate family that are essential to success. Teachers, students, and parents develop a detailed Written Student Learning Plan managed for each student through Monthly Evaluations to set academic performance goals and objectives plus required weekly progress meetings with certificated staff. In addition, we offer credit recovery and extended learning opportunities to those students in a regular high school program. We offer an online learning curriculum with classroom support and accountability, offering students the best of online or blended classroom experience for grades 9-12+. Students are able to attend and work towards their High School Diploma until the age of 21.
