Virtual Lessons begin December 8th

Tuesday, December 8th will mark the start of the total virtual model of instruction. I have outlined some guidelines that should be followed by all students to make this a seamless transition. A video tutorial of these guidelines is placed below. As always, please contact me with any questions or concerns.

Picture Day

Tomorrow (September 22, 2020) and Friday (September 25, 2020) North Pocono High School will have its annual picture day. Students will be escorted to the auditorium during the English class to have photos taken. Total virtual students should check with the office for details of their date and time. Take off the mask and wear your best smile!

Welcome to 2020-21 School Year

Hello Sophomores! I hope you are soaking up the sun on one of the last days of summer vacation. I am excited for this upcoming school year and promise to do everything in my power to continue the learning process in my classroom and overcome these challenging times. Obviously, the layout of the school day and class will be somewhat different from what we are used to, but I think have planned lessons to make the transition seamless.

I will be referring to my Monday and Tuesday students as Group A and Thursday and Friday student will be group B. Total virtual students will follow the on-line assignments no matter the group. I will do my very best to label each assignment as "A" or "B" to avoid any confusion.

As far as Monday, August 31st is concerned: Group A will be in the building, please have a notebook and folder with you to start. Group B and all virtuals will see their recorded assignment(s) at the start time for your scheduled class. So, if you have 2nd period Accelerated English, your assignment will appear in Google Classroom at 8:35 a.m. If you choose to start the assignment later that day, it's not a problem. Just be aware of deadlines because some assignments may be due by the end of a calendar day.

Please realize there is no need to be anxious, we are all in this together. I am new to this as well, so if we stay patient and give our best effort the school year will be a grand success. At any time you have questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me. Looking forward to Monday. Enjoy the weekend!
