Get Focused, Stay Focused is a comprehensive guidance program in which students explore careers and postsecondary education options and practice employable skills. GFSF begins in the 9th-grade Life Choices course, in which students create a research-based career and education plan for the future. In the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades, students engage in follow-up modules that allow them to expand on their plans for the future as they discover more about themselves, their goals, their educational options, and the world of work. At Mendocino High School, students must successfully complete the 10th-, 11th-, and 12th-grade follow-up modules in order to pass Personal Success.
