Vision Reimbursement Benefit

MSD provides a Vision Reimbursement Benefit if you are enrolled in one of the Anthem Health Plans.

The District does not have a stand alone Vision Plan. The Benefit is covered under the Anthem Health plan.

Please be sure to make the provider aware that you DO NOT have a stand alone Vision Plan.

* Vision Hardware - $100.00 allowance every 2 years for lenses and frames

*Eye Exam - eye exams are covered by the Anthem medical plan.

Please see below for the plan type that you are enrolled with to see how frequent the eye exam is covered by the plan.

• HMO - cover one routine eye exam for enrollees with an In Network Provider each plan year.

• HDHP with or without HSA - cover one routine eye exam for enrollees with an In Network Provider each plan year.

• POS Plans - cover one routine eye exam for enrollees under age 19 each plan year. If age 19 and over one routine eye exam every 2 years

As an added benefit, if you are enrolled in the Delta Dental Plan with MSD, you are eligible to take advantage of the Vision Discount Program that Delta Dental offers FREE OF CHARGE to subscribers and their dependents.
